Range of Systems for MOF Analysis
Merrow Scientific are the UK partner for a number of overseas instrumentation manufacturers offering a wide range of systems for MOF research and other sorption analysis and characterisation.
Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) also known as Porous Coordination Polymers are crystalline compounds consisting of metal clusters and organic molecules coordinated to form structures that are porous. These framework structures can be prepared using various techniques to have a specific form in order to suit a particular purpose, for example selected storage of gases such as hydrogen or carbon dioxide; gas separation; catalysis and purification of gases.
There are many leading research teams around the world developing new compounds, two particular groups worth looking at are the Yaghi group at UCLA and the Kitagawa group at Kyoto University. (Both of which use the Rubotherm system for gravimetric sorption measurement)
For further details of systems that we supply in the UK for MOF research please click on the system of interest:

Volumetric method based systems for sorption analysis (including surface area and porosity analysis)
