Through our partnership with BEL Japan, Merrow Scientific are able to supply the BEL range of volumetric sorption instrumentation in the UK and Ireland.

These volumetric systems allow the accurate measurement of specific surface area, low specific surface area (using Kr gas), pore size distribution, adsorption isotherm measurement of a variety of non-corrosive gas (NH3 etc) and vapour adsorption.

These measurements are useful for the characterisation of porous or finely divided materials such as powders, pigments, catalysts, activated carbons, zeolites etc.  This makes the systems useful in a variety of sectors including chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, paints and pigments, coatings, ceramics, building materials, food and textiles.
