Chemisorption

TPD/TPR/TPO, Pulse Chemisorption BELCAT Chemisorption Instruments

There are a variety of methods required for characterisation of catalysts and assessing how well they will perform.

(Please also see the lower part of this page for complementary catalyst characterisation systems that we supply)

These methods include:

  • Temperature Programmed Desorption (TPD)
  • Temperature Programmed Reduction (TPR)
  • Temperature Programmed Oxidation (TPO)
  • Pulse Chemisorption
  • Metal Dispersion
  • BET single point measurement

The BELCAT instrument is designed to provide all of these methods on one instrument.  Full details on these methods can easily be sent to you, please contact us for more information.

There are 3 systems available from Merrow Scientific in the UK and Ireland, including:

BELCAT-M

Basic model allowing TPD, TPO, TPR, BET, Pulse Chemisorption.  Manual operation of valves etc mean this instrument is an excellent system suitable for Universities and Institutes where budget is limited and manual operation can assist with student learning.

BELCAT-B

Standard model with temperature control, data acquisition and valve operation can be carried out automatically.  Gas flow rates for carrier and pretreatment lines are controlled accurately by mass flow controllers.  System can be customised to meet the exact requirements of the researcher.

BELCAT-A

High end model featuring all the functionality of the BELCAT-B plus in addition the ability to carry out vapour dosing.
